Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using ConfirmRide, a ride-booking service for Bokaro Steel City.

1. Technology Platform, Not a Transport Operator

ConfirmRide is a booking and matchmaking platform only. We are not a taxi, auto, e-rickshaw or bike-taxi operator, and we do not own or control any vehicle listed on the Platform. Drivers are independent, self-employed individuals who register, upload their own documents, and are approved by our Admin team after basic verification. ConfirmRide facilitates the connection between Customers and Drivers but does not itself provide transportation services.

2. Fare Estimates

Fares shown before a booking is confirmed are estimates only, calculated from an approximate distance and the current base fare / per-km rate / minimum fare configured for that vehicle type. Actual distance, route, traffic conditions, waiting time and real-world detours can cause the final fare agreed with the Driver to differ from the estimate. ConfirmRide does not guarantee that the final fare will match the estimate shown in the app.

3. Driver Verification Is Basic, Not Exhaustive

We ask Drivers to submit identity, licence and vehicle details, and our Admin team reviews these before activating an account. However, this review does not amount to a full background check, and ConfirmRide cannot guarantee the conduct, driving skill, vehicle condition or behaviour of any Driver at all times. Customers are encouraged to verify the vehicle number and driver details shown in the app match the vehicle/driver in front of them before starting a ride, and to share trip details with a friend or family member for safety.

4. Location & Map Data

Pickup/drop location search and distance estimates rely on third-party map data (including OpenStreetMap) and device/browser location services. This data may occasionally be inaccurate, outdated, or unavailable, particularly for newly developed areas or informal landmarks. ConfirmRide is not responsible for delays or issues caused by inaccurate map data or GPS signal problems.

5. No Guarantee of Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available and to have Drivers online across Bokaro Steel City, but we do not guarantee that a ride will always be available, that a Driver will accept a request within any particular time, or that the website/app will be free of interruptions, errors or downtime.

6. Payments Outside the Platform

All ride-fare payments happen directly between Customer and Driver (cash or the Driver's personal UPI/QR) and are outside ConfirmRide's control. We are not responsible for payment disputes, incorrect UPI transfers, or a Driver's personal payment app/QR code being unavailable at the time of payment.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

The Platform may reference or link to third-party services (such as map providers or messaging/SMS gateways used for OTPs). ConfirmRide is not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of these third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConfirmRide and its team shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, injury, delay or damage arising from a ride booked through the Platform, the conduct of a Driver or Customer, inaccurate fare estimates, or interruption of the service. Nothing in this Disclaimer limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

This Disclaimer may be updated from time to time as our services evolve; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
